Basketball Recap: Connally Takes a Loss

Connally was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Lorena Leopards, falling 58-25. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 736th, while the Leopards are ranked 151st).

Connally's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Lorena, they pushed their record up to 19-7 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Connally will challenge La Vega at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. La Vega is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season. As for Lorena, they will square off against China Spring at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
