Recap: Liberty County Bulldogs vs. Wewahitchka Gators
The Liberty County Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 48-26 margin over Wewahitchka. The squad ran away with 41 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Leading Liberty County to victory were Caleigh Peddie and Gabriella Flowers. Peddie scored 15 points, while Flowers scored 19 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Flowers has scored at least 25% of Liberty County's points. Another player making a difference was Haven Davis, who scored six points.
The victory (which was Liberty County's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. As for Wewahitchka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty County will take on Sneads at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Sneads: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Liberty County has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. As for Wewahitchka, they will square off against Jefferson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson County's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Wewahitchka's offense will have their work cut out for Wewahitchka.
