Preview: Midfield Patriots vs. Tarrant Wildcats
Midfield is 4-0 against Tarrant since November of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Midfield Patriots on the road again and play against the Tarrant Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. Hopefully Midfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday.
Midfield posted their biggest win yet this season on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 51-28 margin over McAdory.
Midfield relied on the efforts of Jazmin Johnson, who scored 18 points, and Kamiya Webb, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Webb is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Lauren Stokes was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Tarrant's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 53-10 loss at the hands of Cleveland. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tarrant has scored all season.
Midfield now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Tarrant, they bumped their record down to 1-13 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Midfield against Tarrant in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 100-10 win. With Midfield ahead 62-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
