Basketball Recap: Navasota Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against College Station, Navasota was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They slipped by the Crockett Cougars 54-53. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Rattlers were down 37-16 in the second quarter.

Despite the loss, Crockett still got an impressive performance from Lola Osaigbovo, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds. Osaigbovo is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Lauren Smith was another key player, putting up 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Navasota has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Crockett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.

Navasota wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 41-36 loss against La Porte on the 7th.
