Baseball Recap: Leadership Academy Takes a Loss

Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corvian Community Cardinals. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 15-5 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leadership Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hank Gaston, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases Gaston has posted since back in April of 2024.

Leadership Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Corvian Community, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Leadership Academy will take on Cornerstone Charter at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Leadership Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Corvian Community, they will challenge Pine Lake Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
