Jace Kent Turns in Season-Best Effort

Jace Kent produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Kirksville to the win on Friday. Kent rushed for 289 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 141 or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

If history really does repeat itself, Kent might just drop another big game when he faces off against Fulton on Friday. Kent rushed for 247 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 37 receiving yards the last time he and the Hornets duked it out back in October of 2023.

Sadly, Gabriel Defily posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Fulton over Marshall on Friday. Defily picked up 77 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Defily and Fulton will head out to face off against Kirksville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time Defily took on the Tigers, he picked up 88 receiving yards and a touchdown. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Peyton Hoover Delivers Best Effort of Season

Sadly, Peyton Hoover posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Mexico over Kirksville on Friday. Hoover forced a fumble and made ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Mexico's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-4. Hoover and Mexico will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on MICDS at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Jaden Galbreath Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Friday, Fulton had to settle for second even though Jaden Galbreath put up the best numbers he has all season. Galbreath threw for 100 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown.

This year, Galbreath has thrown 3 touchdowns while averaging 70.7 passing yards per game.
