Basketball Recap: Canfield Extends Home Winning Streak to 15

Canfield came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 35-31 win over the West Branch Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Canfield pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for West Branch, they moved to 16-2 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Canfield and West Branch should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Canfield will challenge Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 158 places (40 vs. 198). Similarly, West Branch (ranked 75th) will meet New Philadelphia (ranked 265th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
