Lake Zurich came tearing into Monday's game with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Lakes Eagles by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in April.

Lake Zurich never let Lakes on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Zurich to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nikola Stanojevic, who had ten digs and two assists. Another player making a difference was Yani Oblakov, who had nine assists and three digs.

Lake Zurich's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Lakes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.

Lake Zurich will challenge Mundelein at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears are on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Mustangs a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. As for Lakes, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against North Chicago on the 6th.
