Soccer Recap: Nevada Union Comes Up Short

Nevada Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the River Valley Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Miners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 957th, while the Falcons are ranked 99th).

Nevada Union's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for River Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nevada Union will square off against Yuba City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for River Valley, they will face off against Del Campo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
