Basketball Game Preview: Pender Pendragons vs. Madison Dragons

The Pender Pendragons are taking a road trip to face off against the Madison Dragons on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pender will head out to face Madison after giving up their first home loss of the season on Saturday. Pender fell just short of Howells-Dodge by a score of 41-38.

Meanwhile, Madison was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 49-45 to Humphrey-Lindsay.

Pender will need focus on slowing down Gabriel Campos, one of several Madison players who made an impact when they last played. He posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Bodonn Sweeney, who earned 12 points.

Madison dropped their record down to 7-8 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Pender, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-2.

Everything came up roses for Pender against Madison when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 56-26 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pender since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
