Basketball Recap: Chapin Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chapin can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 58-10 loss at the hands of the Tascosa Rebels. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-5.

Chapin's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Summer Blackwell, who posted four points. Blackwell is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played.

Chapin's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 19-15. As for Tascosa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-4 record this season.

Chapin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tascosa, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 36-29 victory against Aledo on the 18th.
