Basketball Recap: Joseph Trujillo III's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Academy for Technology and the Classics over Santa Fe Indian

Academy for Technology and The Classics was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 74-49 to the Santa Fe Indian Braves. While losing is never fun, Academy for Technology and The Classics can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Santa Fe Indian is ranked 35th).

Academy for Technology and The Classics lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Joseph Trujillo III, who posted 14 points and three steals. That's the most points Trujillo III has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Davion Martinez, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points and seven boards.

Academy for Technology and The Classics' defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Santa Fe Indian, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7.
