Baseball Game Preview: Sheridan Blackhawks vs. Mooresville Christian Eagles

The Sheridan Blackhawks will square off against the Mooresville Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sheridan will be strutting in after a victory while Mooresville Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

While Sheridan's win against Carroll wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blackhawks had just enough and edged out the Cougars 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Sheridan's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Schwerdtfeger, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Mooresville Christian lost 15-8 to Purdue Broad Ripple on Tuesday.

Sheridan pushed their record up to 5-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mooresville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
