Volleyball Recap: East Texas Homeschool Sports Takes a Loss

East Texas Homeschool Sports was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to Tyler HEAT. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While East Texas Homeschool Sports was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 25-23.

Despite the loss, East Texas Homeschool Sports still got an impressive performance from Katie Walton, who had 14 digs and eight kills. Walton is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season. London Reitinger was another key player, getting six digs and five assists.

East Texas Homeschool Sports' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Tyler HEAT, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, East Texas Homeschool Sports is taking a road trip to square off against Bishop Gorman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tyler HEAT, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Grace Community on the 15th.
