Softball Recap: John Marshall Comes Up Short

John Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Steubenville Big Red. John Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Steubenville, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

John Marshall will be playing in front of their home fans against Brooke at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Monarchs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Steubenville, they will challenge Weir at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
