Football Game Preview: Piqua Indians vs. Xenia Buccaneers

The Piqua Indians will square off against the Xenia Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Piqua will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points two weeks ago, then bounced right back against West Carrollton on Friday. The Indians claimed a resounding 49-8 victory over the Pirates. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.

Meanwhile, Xenia entered their tilt with Sidney on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Yellowjackets 52-7. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 485th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Piqua's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Xenia, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
