Softball Recap: West Orange-Stark Takes a Loss

West Orange-Stark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Vidor Pirates, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-1 back in March.

West Orange-Stark saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandi Evans, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run. That hit was Evans' first of the season.

West Orange-Stark's loss dropped their record down to 12-12-2. As for Vidor, they pushed their record up to 10-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, West Orange-Stark and Vidor will both be playing Lumberton the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Pirates will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
