Basketball Game Preview: Central Woodstock Falcons vs. Strasburg Rams

The Central Woodstock Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Strasburg Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Central Woodstock sitting on three straight victories and Strasburg on eight.

On Monday, Central Woodstock blew past Stonewall Jackson, posting a 52-11 win. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Strasburg was fully in charge on Monday, breezing past Page County 64-35. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Panthers are ranked 301st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Strasburg pushed their record up to 20-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points over those games. As for Central Woodstock, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
