Volleyball Recap: Mansfield Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Mia Running and Nora Cook

Mansfield Christian lost against Tree of Life Christian back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Flames came up short against the Trojans, falling 3-0. The Flames have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Mansfield Christian ultimately came up short, they really made Tree of Life Christian work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 26-24.

Mansfield Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Nora Cook and Mia Running. Cook had six digs and four aces, while Running had 17 assists and 11 digs. Cook is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Among those leading the charge was Mimi Cochran, who had 11 assists and seven digs. Megan Donnally was another key player, getting 13 assists and six digs.

Mansfield Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Tree of Life Christian, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Mansfield Christian will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Mapleton at 11:00 a.m. As for Tree of Life Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Genoa Christian Academy on the 22nd.
