Volleyball Recap: Pine Lake Prep Extends Winning Streak to Four

Pine Lake Prep waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Corvian Community Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Pride, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Pine Lake Prep won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-11, 25-23.

Pine Lake Prep had a senior duo take command as Payton Bielec had 16 assists and three aces and Lauren Selvido had six digs and two aces. Bielec has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played.

Pine Lake Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 20 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Pine Lake Prep's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Corvian Community, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
