Baseball Game Preview: Capital Cougars vs. Olympia Bears

The Capital Cougars will take on the Olympia Bears at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Capital 3.4, Olympia 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Capital had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Lincoln on Friday. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Abes. Considering the Cougars have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Olympia came up short against Emerald Ridge on Friday and fell 4-1.

Capital has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Olympia, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.
