Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's loss ends 14-game winning streak at home

Recap: Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans vs. Denmark-Olar Vikings

The Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Denmark-Olar at home and fell 44-17. It was the first time this season that Hunter-Kinard-Tyler let down their fans at home.

Aysiah Bonaparte was Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's leading scorer, having posted six points. Tilayzia Youmans took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.

It was another big night for Aveion Walker, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds for Denmark-Olar. Walker is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Amuria Wright was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4. As for Denmark-Olar, their win was their 15th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler will face off against North at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Denmark-Olar, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Calhoun County at 6:30 p.m. Calhoun County is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
