Softball Recap: Normal West Wildcats vs. Marengo Indians
Normal West proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Marengo Indians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2021.
The team relied heavily on McKinley Pate, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Avery White was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
