Middleton entered their tilt with Vel Phillips Memorial on Tuesday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won seven matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Megan Button spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Danica Nolte was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Stroede, who went 4-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

Middleton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.

Middleton pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Vel Phillips Memorial, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-5.
