Greeneview had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. Their rough 14-8 defeat to the Fairmont Firebirds on Monday might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Greeneview of the 6-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Trevor Moore made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Greeneview will head out on the road to challenge Xenia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fairmont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Archbishop Alter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairmont will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
