An exciting East v. West battle is about to be fought. The West Vikings will square off against the East Bakersfield Blades at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 31.9 points per game this season.

West is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Tehachapi just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. The contest between the Vikings and the Warriors didn't end well, with the Vikings falling 42-26. The matchup marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

West might have lost, but man, Solomon Harris was a machine: he rushed for 175 yards and four scores while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Harris was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.

Meanwhile, East Bakersfield played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by North and fell 47-7. The Blades have struggled against the Stars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

East Bakersfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for West, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

West came up short against East Bakersfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 17-12. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
