Baseball Recap: Selah Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Selah dropped their record down to 14-2 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Othello Huskies, falling 11-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

As for Othello, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

For Othello's part, they got a massive performance out of Xzyyvn Martinez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. What's more, Martinez posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kal-El Ozuna, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
