Baseball Recap: Post Falls Gets the Win

While Post Falls's win against Lakeland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans skirted past the Hawks 9-8. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won four in a row.

Marshall Tomlinson made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Caleb Jimerson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brandon Felix, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Post Falls kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.

Post Falls' win bumped their record up to 8-10-1. As for Lakeland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

As of now, neither Post Falls nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
