Soccer Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to Grayson. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Grayson this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in February.

Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Grayson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Newton wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Rockdale County on the 18th. As for Grayson, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Grovetown on the 18th.
