Baseball Recap: Skyline Hawks vs. Fauquier Falcons
Skyline came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to the Fauquier Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 back in March.
Skyline saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaiden Brown, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases.
Skyline dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Fauquier, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Skyline is set to challenge their familiar foe Meridian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fauquier will face off against rival Brentsville District at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 4, the Tigers 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
