Football Recap: La Villa Cardinals vs. Santa Rosa Warriors
La Villa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 17-6 to the Santa Rosa Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 20-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Santa Rosa was led to victory by Riley Fonseca and Jj Anaya. Fonseca rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while Anaya rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown. Fonseca really tore up the turf during one magnificent 90-yard run.
