Basketball Game Preview: Lowndes Vikings vs. Richmond Hill Wildcats

Lowndes is on a 21-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Richmond Hill is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Lowndes Vikings will welcome the Richmond Hill Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Lowndes is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Creekside just ended the team's 13-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 65-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seminoles.

Meanwhile, Richmond Hill didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Colquitt County on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 47-42 win.

Richmond Hill has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Lowndes, their loss dropped their record down to 15-2.

Lowndes was able to grind out a solid victory over Richmond Hill in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 49-39. Does Lowndes have another victory up their sleeve, or will Richmond Hill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
