Soccer Game Preview: Gatlinburg-Pittman vs. Maryville

The Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders will head out on the road to face off against the Maryville Red Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gatlinburg-Pittman is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

Gatlinburg-Pittman can't be too worried about heading out to take on Maryville: they just beat May River at home, who had been dominant on their own pitch up to that point. The Highlanders walked away with a 3-1 win over the Sharks on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Maryville kept a clean sheet against Heritage on Thursday. They blew past the Mountaineers 5-0. Noah Livingston had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Maryville.

Maryville is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those nine contests. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4-1.
