Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hopkinton walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Whitman-Hanson Regional Panthers a 1-0 shutout on Sunday. The win was familiar territory for the Hillers, who have now won six contests in a row.

Hopkinton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Pedroli, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Hopkinton's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Whitman-Hanson Regional, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-8.

As of now, neither Hopkinton nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
