Recap: Beaumont Cougars vs. Vista Murrieta Broncos
The Beaumont Cougars lost against the Vista Murrieta Broncos back in December of 2014, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Beaumont took a hard 71-53 fall against Vista Murrieta. While losing is never fun, Beaumont can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Vista Murrieta is ranked tenth).
Despite the loss, Beaumont still got an impressive performance from Payton Joseph, who scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds. Joseph is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Josiah Morgan, who scored 15 points.
Beaumont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Vista Murrieta, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Beaumont will head out on the road to face off against Paloma Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Vista Murrieta's road trip will continue as they head out to face Rancho Verde at 7:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
