Softball Recap: Dundee Takes a Loss

Dundee dropped their record down to 6-5 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Carlson Marauders, falling 15-3. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Marauders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Kiernan Brown was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Charli Scott also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

As for Carlson, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-10. Considering they have won seven matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

On Carlson's side, Addison Skinner was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Skinner a new career-high. Emilee Konkus was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

While Dundee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
