Volleyball Recap: Detroit Lakes Victorious

Detroit Lakes lost to Walker-Hackensack-Akeley back in October of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Lakers came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 2-0.

Talyn Anderson paced Detroit Lakes' offense, picking up 11 kills. Anderson got some help from Ella Ramsey and her 21 assists. Madi Bjerke controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Detroit Lakes' victory bumped their record up to 7-17. As for Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 17 of their last 19 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.

Detroit Lakes didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against St. Cloud Tech on the 23rd. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley has also already played their next match (against Fergus Falls), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
