Soccer Game Preview: Brennan vs. O'Connor

The Brennan Bears will square off against the O'Connor Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Brennan's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Wagner. Given Brennan's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Wagner are ranked 516th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ashley Aguilar and Liana Arizmendez scored both of Brennan's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contest, O'Connor brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Everything went their way against Harlan on Friday as they made off with a 4-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for O'Connor as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

O'Connor's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Brennan, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2-2.
