Baseball Recap: ROWVA/Williamsfield Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact ROWVA/Williamsfield can now relate to. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midland Timberwolves on Friday. The shutout was out of character for the Cougars seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

ROWVA/Williamsfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drake DeJaynes, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

ROWVA/Williamsfield's loss dropped their record down to 18-14. As for Midland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-14-3.

ROWVA/Williamsfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Midland, they will take on Heyworth at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Timberwolves surely won't give up without a fight.
