Noblesville faced Zionsville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Millers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Millers have posted against the Eagles since April 18, 2017.

Addison Retzinger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Brookelyn Grayson was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Noblesville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games.

Noblesville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Zionsville, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 19-4 record.
