Tyrone is 9-1 against Penns Valley Area since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Tyrone Golden Eagles will face off against the Penns Valley Area Rams at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Tyrone's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.

Tyrone will head into Monday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 33) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. Given the Golden Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Wildcats are ranked 401st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Penns Valley Area). Everything went their way against Mount Union on Tuesday as Penns Valley Area made off with a 75-52 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Penns Valley Area has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Tyrone, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Everything came up roses for Tyrone against Penns Valley Area in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 69-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tyrone since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
