Basketball Game Preview: Dos Pueblos Chargers vs. San Marcos Royals

Dos Pueblos is 0-10 against San Marcos since January of 2020 but things could change on Wednesday. The Dos Pueblos Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the San Marcos Royals at 7:00 p.m.

Dos Pueblos is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Santa Barbara on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Dos Pueblos was outmatched by Santa Barbara and fell 77-44. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 380th, while the Dons are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, San Marcos didn't have too much trouble with Ventura on Monday as they won 71-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Royals.

Dos Pueblos' loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for San Marcos, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
