League recap: Stoltzfus powers Pequea Valley with hot hitting week

Danny Stoltzfus was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .786 average with nine RBIs. His Pequea Valley team went 3-0.

Behind a 1-2 record over the past week, Lebanon Catholic made the biggest jump in the national rankings, all the way from 434 to 426.

Lancaster Catholic's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 10 hits and seven walks, both of which led the league. The Crusaders's pitchers have been charged with only 74 hits and have struck out 131 batters. Ian Bentley is tops on the staff with 53 Ks.

Lancaster Catholic scored a league-best 47 runs this week, adding to its league-leading 157 runs on the season. Bryan Haberstroh is the team leader in runs scored with 19, while Mac Mccafferty has driven in a team-best 26 runs with his bat.

The Braves's Stoltzfus led the league with 11 hits this week. His 32 hits for the year are first in the league, and he boasts a .533 batting average.
