Marlborough extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Tatawan Vongfak. The Mustangs came out on top against the Downey Vikings by a score of 3-1 on Saturday with plenty of help from Vongfak, who had 20 digs and six assists. Vongfak is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

Marlborough was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 22-25, 25-19.

Marlborough's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Downey, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Marlborough didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Burroughs on the 16th. As for Downey, they will face off against Artesia at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
