Salem's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Providence Pioneers, sneaking past 7-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Salem now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Providence, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Salem is taking a road trip to take on Scottsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Providence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jennings County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
