Northside - Pinetown entered their tilt with Pamlico County on Tuesday with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. They had just enough and edged the Pamlico County Hurricanes out 56-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since January 5, 2024.

Northside - Pinetown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olivia Jane Cahoon led the charge by putting up 11 points along with six steals and five assists. Cahoon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Berry, who posted nine points and three steals.

Despite the defeat, Pamlico County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sydney Whitley-Reese almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds. Shaiera Jones also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Northside - Pinetown pushed their record up to 21-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Pamlico County, their loss dropped their record down to 19-4.

Northside - Pinetown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-37 win against East Carteret on the 13th. As for Pamlico County, they have also already played their next game, a 68-49 victory against Southside on the 13th.
