Volleyball Recap: Rockford Auburn Takes a Loss

Rockford Auburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Plainfield East Bengals.

Rockford Auburn's offense was headlined by Abraham Albino and Nick Bolor, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Jourdain Jimenez Montes and his eight assists. Finally, Amani Jones kept Rockford Auburn's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Rockford Auburn now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Plainfield East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Rockford Auburn has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Geneva on the 12th. Plainfield East has also already played their next game (against West Chicago), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
