Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Teutopolis). They took their match on Saturday with ease, bagging an 87-55 victory over the Robinson Maroons. That's more bragging rights for the Wooden Shoes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Several Maroons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ian Gilmore, who went 5 of 9 to rack up 12 points. What's more, Gilmore also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aiden Maxwell, who posted ten points.
The win was the third in a row for Teutopolis, bringing their record for this year to 17-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Robinson, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-20.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Teutopolis will take on Casey-Westfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Teutopolis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Robinson, they will square off against Carlyle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carlyle will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Robinson surely won't give up without a fight.
