Volleyball Recap: Willow Spring Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Willow Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Apex Friendship Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 19-25, 25-17, 25-12.

Chloe Abbott paced Willow Spring's offense, picking up nine kills. Abbott got some help from Skylar Bailey and her 12 assists. Kendall Baxter controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Shelby Fuller had an outrageously good game for Apex Friendship as she had 21 digs and two assists. Fuller is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Natalie Johanning also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Willow Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Apex Friendship, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

Willow Spring has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Jordan on the 9th. As for Apex Friendship, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Panther Creek on the 9th.
