Brandon has gone 8-2 against Pearl recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m.

Brandon is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Oak Grove, who was ranked 12th at the time (Brandon was ranked 17th). The Bulldogs fell 20-7 to the Warriors on Friday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Pearl's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Petal by a score of 21-14.

Brandon's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Pearl, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-5.

Everything came up roses for Brandon against Pearl when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
